Gore offending ‘isolated case’

A person appeared in Gore Youth Court yesterday on charges relating to recent offending in the town.

A police spokesman said they were investigating a number of burglaries and thefts in the Huron and Church Sts areas of East Gore, between 4am and 7am on Sunday.

A white BMW hatchback was located in the area which police believed might have been involved in the offending.

The spokesman said police emphasised it was believed to be an isolated case and was of no ongoing concern to the public.

‘‘We would also like to thank members of the community for their assistance in investigating this matter,’’ he said.
