Injury after forklift tips in Bluff

A man managed to free himself after a forklift tipped in Bluff, escaping with only minor injuries.

A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman said it was attending the incident at South Port as of 10.31am.

He understood a forklift at the port had tipped over, but the operator managed to free himself, sustaining minor injuries.

The patient was treated at the scene and did not require transport to hospital, he said.

A police spokeswoman said they received the call at 10.10am and were on the scene soon after.

The incident occurred on Foreshore Rd in Bluff.
