A piece of machinery on a Te Tipua farm was destroyed by fire yesterday.
A Fire and Emergency NZ spokesman said a fire engine from Mataura was sent to the farm about 4pm but by the time it arrived, the fire was ‘‘well involved’’ and the machine could not be saved.
The fire was not being treated as suspicious.
