Two earthquakes have been recorded at Milford Sound this morning.
GeoNet reported the first, a 4.2 magnitude quake at a depth of 5km, at 7.04am.
Both quakes were centred 20km north of Milford Sound.
Seven people reported feeling the shake, with one saying it was strong and the rest saying there was weak shaking.
Another quake, a 4.4 magnitude with a depth of 5km, was recorded two hours later at 9.06am.
Two people reported extreme shaking, although one of those was reported from Wellington.
