One person is in a critical condition after a boating accident on Lake Te Anau.
A police spokesman said police were notified of the accident at 4pm.
The person was airlifted by helicopter to Dunedin Hospital.
St John and Fire and Emergency New Zealand also attended.
Maritime New Zealand staff are working with police to gather information about what happened an investigation may follow.
