A Southland team of film-makers have once again made it to the grand finals of the HP48 Hours film competition.
The film Officer Fighter uses video-game-style effects to portray a gory-comedy film, which producer Steven Woller said was the cleanest way of presenting the splat-stick genre.
In May, Invercargill team Super Furious Ninja Dragons were given just 48 hours to make a short splat-stick film, and on Wednesday, were told they were a wild-card entry into the grand finals, for the second year in a row.
"With splat-stick, generally there’s a massive amount of blood and we’ve done that before. It’s great, but there’s always a lot of clean-up."
The 48 hour grand final is being held this weekend in Auckland. Pictured is director of photography James Wilkinson on set.
