SH6 reopens after two-truck crash near Lumsden

State Highway 6 has reopened after a serious crash involving two trucks near Lumsden earlier today.

A police spokeswoman said they were alerted at 9.05am.

The crash occurred on the Lumsden-Dipton Highway, close to the Josephville-Glenure Road intersection.

A St John spokesman said one person, believed to be male, was taken via helicopter to Dunedin Hospital with moderate injuries.

Another person was treated at the scene, he said.

The Serious Crash Unit attended the incident.

The New Zealand Transport Agency advised at 4.05pm that SH6 between Dipton and Lumsden had been cleared and the road was open with a 30kmh speed limit in place.
