A woman in her 70s has been flown to hospital after being knocked over by sheep in Southland today.
St John were alerted to the incident at a private property in Birchwood Wairio Rd, near Ohai, at 2.14pm.
Paramedics were told the woman was knocked over by farm animals.
A St John spokesman confirmed the animals were sheep.
She was airlifted to Southland Hospital with moderate injuries.
