Years of service recognised

Receiving her honour from Governor-General Lieutenant-general Sir Jerry Mateparae at an investiture ceremony at Government House in Wellington yesterday was former Southland mayor Frana Cardno, who was made a Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit, recognising her services as Southland mayor for 21 years.
