The build-up to the 30th anniversary of Warbirds over Wanaka next year has begun with a call for volunteers to register now.
Airshow volunteer manager Clare Chapman said there was a history of volunteers from around New Zealand and overseas returning again and again but "we always have a need for new volunteers".
About 300 are required to help out at the southern hemisphere’s largest Warbirds airshow.
New volunteer-specific software would be used for the 2018 show which would make it a lot simpler to match volunteers with jobs suited to their talents and to give them all the pre-show briefings and information needed "to ensure they have the best experience ever," she said.
The airshow will be held on March 30, 31 and April 1, 2018.
