While Wanaka snow skiers were still waiting for improved conditions on sloped surfaces, water-skiers were enjoying the almost flat waters of Lake Wanaka yesterday.
A larger-than-usual crowd of about 150 watched from the shore as dozens of water-skiers did circuits in Roys Bay in a midday temperature of about 5degC.
The event is organised annually by Graeme Vallance and proceeds go to the Upper Clutha Children's Medical Trust.
