Wanaka cyclists may have their own cycling corridors instead of having to use the roads if a group of committed locals can get enough public support.

Representatives from Bike Wanaka, Upper Clutha Tracks Trust, Wanaka Community Board, Wanaka Primary school, Holy Family School and Mt Aspiring College have designed a network of cycling and walking corridors through urban Wanaka.

Their master plan will be revealed at the Lake Wanaka Centre on November 30.

They  want public feedback and for it to be included in the Queenstown Lakes District council 10-year plan.
