Domestic tourism campaign under wraps ... for now

Secrecy surrounds the story behind a new Tourism NZ social media campaign featuring Wanaka.

The star of the video, comedian Tom Sainsbury (pictured), and a production crew were spotted filming at Bremner Bay last week.

Spokeswoman Lauren Vosper could not reveal the story behind the video before it went live as it was "hilarious" and would "ruin the gag".

However, she said the aim of the campaign was to promote and encourage domestic tourism. The film will go live later this month.
