Having ‘their say’

Tenants intending to rent rooms and offices in Wanaka Community House had an opportunity to meet and "have their say" on how it would be run yesterday. 

More than 35 people representing 20 groups attended the workshop at the Wanaka Yacht Club before the Wanaka Community House Charitable Trust held its annual meeting.

The construction of the community-owned and operated building in McDougall St is expected to start at the end of this year. 

Community house representative Barbara Jungen and trustee Devon Hotop were part of the group workshopping fundraising, while other groups discussed  planning, fundraising, policies, procedures and tenancy arrangements.
