New addition for community house project

A new establishment manager has joined the Wanaka Community House project as it nears its opening date.

Gina Treadwell (left) has taken up the new role, which will ensure the transition from construction site to functioning centre is well organised.

Ms Treadwell believed the house would be an asset for the community.

Wanaka Community House Charitable Trust chairwoman Dame Sukhi Turner (right) said she was delighted to have Ms Treadwell on board.

The building is set for completion in September and Mrs Turner said the trust still had $900,000 to raise to complete the build and she hoped the community would continue to support the project.
