School board trustees meet

Members of the establishment board of trustees of Wanaka’s new primary school in the Three Parks subdivision met formally for the second time yesterday.

The chairman is Dr Ian Hall, while former primary school principal Liz Hawker (seated centre) has joined the board to replace Gena Bagley.

Other members of the board are Amy Watson (front right), Anna Roseingrave (back left) and Jude MacArthur.

A question to be settled is the final name of the school, which is referred to by the Ministry of Education as Wanaka South.

It will cater for 400 pupils initially, and is due to open in 2020.
