An 8.5ha piece of residential land in Lakeview Tce, Lake Hawea, has been put up for sale by the Dunedin family that has owned it for the past 25 years.

The Queenstown Lakes District Council website shows just over 9ha of land at the address valued at $3,200,000, with a further $520,000 of improvements.

The owners are listed as Webb Farry Trustees, and Nolene and Owen Watson.

The agents, Bayleys, have described the section as one of the biggest single wholesale residential development blocks put up for sale in the Upper Clutha for the past decade and, depending on a QLDC review of the township zone, could be subdivided into 120 sections.

Tenders close on June 14.
