The Plastic Free Wanaka community group has launched a website to encourage people to stop using throw-away cups.
Spokeswoman Anna van Riel said Wanaka was "doing an amazing job" at reducing single-use cups.
The website has a waste-free shopping guide and a list of cafes where people can either buy or borrow a takeaway cup if they have forgotten theirs.
The site also features Plastic Free July campaign mascot Plastic Free Paula and waste-defeating superhero Waste Free Wanda.
Ms van Riel said a future goal was to turn the waste-free shopping guide into an interactive app.
The website went live on Friday.
