Work continues on a set of new traffic lights for the one-lane Luggate Red Bridge.
NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi’s latest bridge programme began on June 4.
The 110-year-old historic bridge is under daytime stop-go management until July 19.
Aspiring Highways abseilers have also been working beneath the deck to inspect joists and piers, tighten bolts and check deck running boards.
Detours are in place between 9am and 5pm.
Special arrangements have been made for school buses and emergency vehicles.
