Lucky winner of Field Days competition

Paul Dwyer announces the winner of a competition run by the ODT and the SRL at the Field Days in Waimumu.

Punters at the show had to estimate "how long is a piece of wool".

Sheep fleece was carded into yarn which was then wrapped around a big concrete replica sheep kindly loaned by the Gore A&P Society.

The "piece of wool" measured 2240 metres and the lucky punter was Bruce Sheat from Riversdale.

He wins a trip for two to the Highlanders v Blues game in Auckland on the 29th of May.
