Jone Koroiduadua, of the Nadroga Stallions rugby team, holds aloft Lincoln Cain (12), from the Southland Adventist Christian School in Invercargill, at the Southern Field Days at Waimumu yesterday.

The Nadroga Stallions will play a Southland Invitational side at Fred Booth Park, opposite the field days site, tonight.

Tour coach Angus Anderson, who moved with his young family from Australia to Fiji five weeks ago, found himself “roped into” coaching the Nadroga side.

For most of the team, the trip to New Zealand was their first time in a plane and they were enjoying the warm welcome in the South.

“If we can deliver our best game and express ourselves as Fijians, hopefully we can entertain the crowd,” he said.
