The series "Outstanding Outhouses" features images of striking structures in the rural South including Kelso Dairy Factory in West Otago.

The factory was established in 1913, producing mostly butter and cheese, until its closure in 1945.

The building was then used to store wool and farm machinery until the town was abandoned due to flooding in the early 1980s.
