Southerners were among the winners at the New Zealand Ploughing Championship in Marlborough earlier this month.
The two-day event featured more than 30 competitors contesting five classes, from conventional tractor ploughing to horse ploughing.
The southerners to achieve overall placings were:
- Murray Grainger, of Mosgiel, second in the vintage class.
- Mark Dillon, of Riversdale, third in the conventional class.
- Murray Baird, of Balfour, third in the reversible class.
- Graham Anderson, of Thornby, fifth in the vintage class.
The 67th edition of the competition will be held in Clinton next year.
