A small fire in a commercial building in Spey St, Invercargill, last night is not being treated as suspicious.
Firefighters were called to the fire, at what is believed to be Barnes Oysters, at 6.30pm after a fire alarm went off.
A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokeswoman said a fire crew found a small fire inside the building.
It was put out quickly, before any major damage was caused to the building, she said.
Fenz informed police, who visited the building to "have a look", but the fire was not being treated as suspicious, she said.
The building was unattended at the time of the fire.
