The Dunedin primary and intermediate schools triathlon was held in Port Chalmers yesterday.

The event featured 466 year 5-8 pupils from 31 schools. All races began with the run, followed by the cycle and finishing with the swim.

The year 5-6 course consisted of a 1.5km run, 4km cycle and 92m swim, while the year 7-8 course was a 2.5km run, 6km cycle and 153m swim. The event was held in perfect conditions.

Results will be available later today.
