Competitors take off at the start of the year 7 race at the Dunedin primary and intermediate schools triathlon in Port Chalmers yesterday

The Dunedin primary and intermediate schools triathlon was held in Port Chalmers yesterday.
The event featured 466 year 5-8 pupils from 31 schools. All races began with the run, followed by the cycle and finishing with the swim.
The year 5-6 course consisted of a 1.5km run, 4km cycle and 92m swim, while the year 7-8 course was a 2.5km run, 6km cycle and 153m swim. The event was held in perfect conditions.
Results will be available later today.
