Holly Robinson has put on a record-breaking display in Dubai.

The Otago Paralympian threw 43.64m to win the F46 javelin at the world para athletics grand prix.

That added 32cm to her New Zealand and Oceania records, which she set at last year's Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast.

It also handed her a comfortable 9m win over the field of six.

The throw has only been surpassed once, also at last year's Commonwealth Games, by Great Britain's Hollie Arnold.

On that occasion Arnold threw 44.43m to snatch gold from Robinson in what remains the world record.

The throw also lifts Robinson to fourth on the able-bodied senior women's javelin national rankings.
