The St Kilda Saints have beaten the Magic 74-55 in the Dunedin men's club basketball final today, claiming their third straight title.

The Saints held a handy lead throughout the game and while the Magic cut into it at times, never truly got close enough to threaten a comeback.

Defensively the Saints brought intensity, helping well in the half-court and forcing the Magic to settle for a lot of outside shots, which rarely fell today.

Saints point guard James Ross was typically classy, proving a threat to the hoop and shooting well off the catch, while Liam Aston was deadly from the outside.

The win sees the Saints complete a three-peat, having beaten the Bombers in the previous two finals. The Magic last won the competition in 2013.
