Parker to go after Wilder fight - reports

Reports suggest Joseph Parker will look to fight Deontay Wilder in a heavyweight title unification bout.

Taylor Barry, son of trainer Kevin Barry, tweeted the Kiwi WBO world champion would "go after" the fight in Las Vegas in April.

Wilder has a 37-0 record, including 36 knockouts, and is the current WBC title holder. In his most recent fight he beat Chris Arreola with an eighth round technical knockout, although has not fought since due to a broken hand and bicep injury.

Parker won the WBO title in December, defeating Andy Ruiz Jr in Auckland.

It also had been reported Parker was close to a deal to fight Hughie Fury, cousin of former champion Tyson Fury.
