Cricket: England complete win over India

England have completed a seven-wicket victory in the third test to take a 2-1 lead and move close to a first series win in India since 1985.

Seam bowler James Anderson took the one Indian wicket remaining with the 10th ball of the final day, bowling Pragyan Ojha to dismiss the hosts for 247 in Kolkata, BBC reports.

England's target was only 41, but they had some flutters, losing Alastair Cook, Jonathan Trott and Kevin Pietersen to slip to 8-3 before Nick Compton and Ian Bell took them home.

The final test begins in Nagpur on Thursday.
