Southland's 50-over club competition was affected by rain on Saturday, and two of three games were shortened.
The Appleby and Marist match was reduced to 36 overs. Marist was bowled out for 132, Appleby bowler Jacob Downing taking five for 40 from his eight overs.
Only Ben McKercher (41) and Jeremy Boyle (27) showed some resistance for Marist.
An unbeaten century from Kieran Lloyd (103 not out) ensured Appleby easily chased down the Marist total in the 28th over, for the loss of one wicket.
Southland Boys' High School scored 110 for nine wickets from its 28 overs against Invercargill Old Boys. Middle-order batsmen Blair McKenzie (35) and Benji Culhane (36) held the innings together.
Old Boys reeled that target in for the loss of three wickets during the 19th over. Opening bat Osika Kaufononga scored 34 from 43 balls.
In Waikoikoi, the match against Invercargill Metropolitan was scheduled for 50 overs, but Metro was bowled out for just 51 from 18 overs. Hamish Cooke top scored for Metro with a paltry 11 runs.
The Waikoikoi new-ball bowlers did the damage, Ryan McFaul taking five for 18 and Warrick McKenzie four for 28.
Finn Hurley then crunched 32 from 20 balls for Waikoikoi as the locals took a crushing victory in just the ninth over.
In Southland's division one 40-over club cricket competition, Central Western bowled out Te Anau for 155 in the grudge match at Moores Estate in Winton. Central then chased the total down with five wickets and four overs in hand.
The win puts Central Western at the top of the table with three rounds still to play before the finals. In other division one games on Saturday, Albion beat Appleby 2nd XI, Blue Mountain beat Lumsden, and Wyndale beat Tuatapere.
