Play has been disrupted for a second time at the Basin Reserve today.

Bangladesh is 119 for two midway through day one of the first test against New Zealand. Mominul Haque and Mahmudullah are unbeaten on 48 and 13 respectively, while Tamim Iqbal got the team off to a flying start with 56 of 50 balls.

Tim Southee picked up the only wicket, when Trent Boult caught Imrul Kayes for one. Bout then picked up a wicket of his own, claiming Iqbal lbw after reviewing a decision.

New Zealand won the toss and chose to bowl first on a green wicket.
