New Otago recruit Glenn Phillips has impressed in his maiden first-class appearance for Gloucestershire this season.
The hard-hitting Black Cap thumped 125 to help his side reach 438 in its first innings against Kent. Otago strike bowler Jacob Duffy plays for Kent and took three for 96 in the innings.
Phillips has also been in decent touch in the Vitality Blast. He is Gloucestershire’s leading scorer with 201 runs at an average of 33.50.
