Rain wipes out day three of test

Persistent rain has caused play to be abandoned on day three of the second test between New Zealand and Bangladesh in Christchurch.

Play was due to start at 10.37am after rain wiped out the final 12 overs of yesterday, but bad weather has been lashing the city all day and a decision was made around 4pm to abandon play for the day.

Play is due to start at 10.30am tomorrow.

The forecast is looking better for days four and five, with overcast but dry conditions set for Monday and mostly clear conditions expected on Tuesday.

When play does get under way, the Black Caps will resume on 260-7, still 29 runs behind.

Henry Nicholls is unbeaten on 56 and Tim Southee (4no) is at the other end.
