Valley reversed its loss to Union a week ago in the twenty20 competition on Friday night.
Sent in to bat by Union, Valley, led by Robbie Smith (25), made 111 for the loss of nine wickets. Bowling for Union, Sam Bastin took three for 18 and Glynn Cameron two for 22.
Union, set 112 to win, was restricted to 81 one for the loss of nine wickets. Hamish McKenzie and Tom Pitchford took two wickets each for Valley.
Oamaru avenged its loss to Albion the previous weekend when it dismissed Albion for 154 for six in its 20 overs.
The Albion batsmen led by Regan George (57), John Stockbridge (21), Steve Halliwell (21) and Dylan Winter (20) put together a decent total while Stephan Grobler, with two for 11, was the best of the Oamaru bowlers.
Oamaru reached the target with eight balls remaining.
It attacked the Albion bowling, scoring 21 off the first two overs.
After nine of the 20 overs, Oamaru had reached 79 for one.
This was mainly through some fine batting between Grobler (77) and Zac Naldrett (36), who added 91 for the second wicket. Although both lost their wickets before the end, big-hitting Will Sunderland (27 not out) guided his side to the victory.
On Saturday, in the 50-over competition, Cameron Grubb and Liam Mavor combined in a 10th wicket stand of 95 invaluable runs to almost snatch victory for Valley over Albion.
Batting first, Albion made 197 before the 10th wicket fell in the penultimate over. Dylan Winter (61) and Jayden Stockridge (53) were the major contributors, while Mavor took three for 23.
Albion looked to have the game sewn up when it had Valley staggering at 131 for eight and shortly after it lost its ninth wicket. This brought Grubb (111) and Mavor (6) together and in a defiant stand the pair guided Valley to 188 before the final wicket fell, just 10 runs short of victory.
Bowling for Albion, Ricky Whyte and Andrew Searle took three wickets each, while Jayden Stockridge and John Briggs took two each. On the Excelsior block, Oamaru defeated Union by 14 runs. Batting first Kunal Mahajan (75) and Sunderland (36) got Oamaru going while Grobler (26) and Ben Coleman (27) added late runs.
Bowling for Union, Matt Lilley and Glynn Cameron took three wickets each while Sam Bastin chimed in with a couple of wickets. Oamaru made 196.
Union lost its final wicket, a run out, with the total at 182.
Sam Bastin (48), Glynn Cameron (55) and Sean Conlan (28) were the best of the Union batsmen. Bowling for Union, Matt Lilley and Craig Smith took two wickets each while Grobler claimed three for 30.
