Max (8), who goes to Grant's Braes School and plays cricket for the Albion Boock section three side, took part in the coin toss and was around the team for most of Saturday's game against Pakistan at the University Oval.
Max is one of 27 children taking part in the coin toss and other events at Black Caps games around the country this season.
Max said his favourite part was going into the Black Caps changing room, and having Williamson sign his shirt.
