Top riders back for meet

New Zealand will welcome back some top performers among a powerful team to contest the track world cup meeting in Cambridge next month.

The Cambridge event, on December 6-8, is the fourth of six world cups that will determine qualification for the world championships and, more importantly, secure crucial ranking places for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Back for New Zealand are 2013 omnium world champion Aaron Gate and 2015 team pursuit world champion Dylan Kennett in the male endurance squad for Cambridge. Gate will also compete in the Brisbane event the following week

The female endurance squad welcomes back three-time team pursuit world medallist Jaime Nielsenafter the birth of her daughter. She is set to compete in Cambridge and Brisbane.

Cycling New Zealand has also entered two trade teams for Cambridge to ensure as many riders as possible have an opportunity to compete against some of the world's best, including double junior world champion Ellesse Andrews, junior world individual pursuit champion Ally Wollaston.
