The Dunedin City Council has closed nine grounds for the weekend.
The fields have been closed due to the grounds being wet and use could cause further damage.
Grounds closed for this weekend are as follows: Brighton Domain, Kensington Oval (except the junior fields A-P), Logan Park except (No 5 and No 4), Miller Park, Outram Reserve, Portobello, Nairn Street, Unity Park and Walton Park.
All junior rugby from under-10 has been cancelled due to a lack of grounds.
