The dream run has come to an end for the Southern United women in Auckland today.
The team was beaten 3-1 by Auckland in its national women's league pre-final.
It trailed 2-0 at halftime, after goals to Grace Jale and Hannah Black.
Renee Bacon hit back for Southern not long after the break, but Jacqui Hand was able to restore the two goal lead for Auckland.
The result sees Auckland progress to meet Canterbury United in next weekend's final.
