The New Zealand Warriors have been beaten in their match against the Canterbury Bulldogs at Forsyth Barr Stadium tonight.

The Bulldogs claimed a 24-12 win, scoring 14 unanswered points to finish the stronger of the two teams.

Marcelo Montoya and Brett Morris took the Bulldogs out of reach, as the Warriors wilted in the final 15 minutes.

That came five minutes after Shaun Johnson finally broke through to give the Warriors a 12-10 lead after 20 mintues of sustained pressure.

Earlier the Warriors conceded two late tries to go behind 10-6 at the break after a dominant first 20 minutes.

Bodene Thompson got the scoring under way, scampering through to pounce on the ball after a messy contest saw it spill free over the line.

The Warriors were completely dominant at the point, but fell off when Moses Mbye hit back for the Bulldogs.

A second try to Brett Morris saw the Sydney-based club take the lead just minutes before the break.
