Gina Crampton looks to pass for the Southern Steel.
Crampton replaces Kayla Cullen in the squad for the upcoming four-match Constellation Cup series against Australia.
Cullen has succumbed to a foot injury and will miss six to eight weeks.
Crampton joins 2016 Steel players Shannon Francois, Jane Watson, Te Paea Selby-Rickit and Storm Purvis in the squad.
Should she make her debut, Crampton would be the 164th Silver Fern.
