Invercargill 'super round' on roster

The Southern Steel will play four of its first five games away and host a ''super round'' in next year's national netball league.

All up, the team plays 15 games, three each against the five other teams. Of the seven home games, five are in Invercargill and two in Dunedin.

It will face the Northern Stars in Hamilton on March 26 in its season opener, before playing the Northern Mystics in Auckland eight days later.

Its first home game comes on Monday, April 10, in Invercargill, against the Waikato-Bay of Plenty Magic, before two more away games.

April 30 sees Invercargill host a ''Super Sunday'' in which all six of the league's teams will be in action. The Magic and Central Pulse get things under way at 2pm before the Steel takes the court against the Mystics at 4pm. At 6pm, the Stars and Mainland Tactix will round out the day.

The Steel will play the Pulse the next day, before its first game in Dunedin on May 7, against the Tactix. After two more away games, it returns to Invercargill to play the Stars on May 28, before Dunedin's second game on June 7 against the Mystics.

The side will then travel for two more away games before finishing its round robin against the Pulse in Invercargill on June 19.
