It Plumbing and Heating worker Dave Hodges water-blasts the Caledonian Ground running track yesterday.

The Dunedin City Council is cleaning and re-marking the track. Work started on Monday.

The track will be re-marked with newer lines and new relay markings put down after a change in relay rules.

The work has to be done in November as any earlier and the paint may not dry.

The Otago primary school athletic championships is set to be held at the ground next Tuesday.

Dunedin City Council parks and cemeteries manger Gareth Jones said the council would communicate with athletics officials when the track would be available. No athletics is scheduled for this Saturday.
