Showing her style during practice for the New Zealand diving championships at Moana Pool yesterday is Lucia Luxton (14).

Chief referee Bruce Megget said there had not been a big diving competition for about two years due to Covid-19.

With the three-day national competition starting today, divers were excited for the return of competitions.

Fifty-five divers from around the country aged 14 and up would compete at the event at Moana Pool.

They would be competing on the 1m springboard, 2m springboard and platform.

Some divers would be using the event to qualify for the Commonwealth Games, Megget said.
