The Percy’s Fundamental Fun Day held was by Sport Otago at Forsyth Barr Stadium yesterday.

The event involved 618 pupils, in year 1-3, from 12 schools, in a variety of games and activities. It had an autumn theme and featured Percy the monkey, "who loves to move".

Pupils rotated around several stations, with the aim of helping them develop the fundamental skills needed to successfully participate in activities and games.  Once established, those skills could help children perform  sports  skills such as running, throwing, catching and kicking.
