Christchurch’s Eleanor Wooff on the way to breaking a women’s masters record at the South Island indoor archery championships at Forrester Park on Saturday.

Wooff, one of three to break South Island records, scored 490 of a maximum 600.

Others to break records were Rebecca Jones, of Christchurch, who scored 535 in the women’s cadet grade, and Ryan Jones, who scored 563 in the men’s compound intermediate.

Southlander Adam Kaluzny was the men’s recurve champion, scoring 545, while Dunedin’s Annemaree Senior, who organised the event, won the senior women’s compound with 559.

Thirty people competed at the event, although eight were unable to make it due to road closures from the weekend’s flooding.
