Training to be table-toppers

Top young junior table tennis players from around the South Island  have been in Dunedin for the past couple of days at a training camp at the Edgar Centre.

More than 70 players, aged 12-18, have been at the training camp.

They learnt about tactics, player positioning and other skills, such as recovery and anticipation.

A yoga session took place to help players remain fresh.

The Otago Open, featuring more than 100 players, was due to be played today, with the finals starting about 6pm.
