Allpress will be having her first ride on the gelding, who won his last start in the Wellington Guineas when ridden by Bosson.
Favourite Sacred Falls is due to arrive in Christchurch this morning.
The colt, unbeaten in five starts, will be based at the Broadfield property of Brian Court, Tony Pike, his Cambridge co-trainer, said yesterday.
"It's a little quieter there and he should be more settled," Pike said.
He had no qualms about Sacred Falls being flown south.
"He's a pretty sensible colt."
Sacred Falls has drawn 10.
• Apprentice Kelly Joyce made the perfect start to her career as a jockey at Paeroa yesterday.
Joyce was successful on Society Ruler in her first race ride, for Ardmore trainer Nicholas Bishara.
Society Ruler was allowed to dictate terms. Joyce told Trackside she was hoping in the straight the mare would hold on for the win, but she need not have worried. The margin was three and three-quarter lengths.
Joyce is apprenticed to Stephen McKee.
• Queensland-based jockey Brad Stewart will be riding at all three days of the New Zealand Cup meeting, New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing said yesterday.
• Figures on Melbourne Cup Day betting, supplied by the TAB and published yesterday, were incorrect.
On-course betting at Wingatui for the Otago Racing Club meeting was $222,438.
National TAB turnover on the Melbourne Cup was $8.62 million.
The TAB total for the day's racing was $20 million, a record. Total turnover for the same day last year was $16.5 million.
• Cameron Lammas was suspended for five riding days, from November 11-16 inclusive, after admitting charge of careless riding at the Otaki-Maori meeting on Tuesday.
Lammas allowed the winner, Pimms Time, to make contact with and check Our Delight with 250m to run in race 5.
