The youngest dog in the field grabbed the glory in the group 2 Colin Keen Memorial race at Forbury Park yesterday.

Know Threat took the lead midway down the back straight and could not be caught in the $16,000 race.

He finished well ahead of Martha Magic and Sarcasm.

Rangiora trainer Garry Cleeve said Know Threat was the youngest dog in the race but he was confident he had it in him to win.

He had been in good form and Cleeve would back him up with a race tomorrow
at Addington.

Cleeve said he would aim the 2½-year-old at the St Leger at Addington and then the Auckland Cup in Auckland.

It was a thrill for Cleeve to win the race, as he had been a good friend of Colin Keen.

Keen was a longtime greyhound administrator in the South and also worked at a national level.

Yesterday's race was the richest greyhound race at Forbury Park this season.
