Women's eight make A final

New Zealand has continued to impress on day three in Austria.

One crew is through to an A final at the World Rowing Championships, a further three are through to A/B semifinals and eight are in quarterfinals.

The women's eight were the top performers yesterday, winning their heat and they have advanced directly to the A final.

Meanwhile, the women's four also placed first in their repechage and have progressed to the semifinals.

The men's quadruple sculls are into the semifinals as well, placing second in their repechage.

The women's quad finished second in their heat, now moving to a repechage.

Meanwhile, the men's eight crew - which includes Hamish Bond and Mahe Drysdale - finished fourth in their heat and advance to a repechage.

The men's four did not make it through their repechage and will race in the C/D semifinals.
