It's been a cool day but the atmosphere is warming up as fans get ready for tonight's test between New Zealand and France in Dunedin.

After a very frosty morning which prompted a warning from police about ice on roads around the city, the sun came out and fans were spotted enjoying the city's hospitality.

From mid-afternoon fans were gathering in the Octagon ahead of the 7.35pm kick-off at Forsyth Barr Stadium.

The match is the third in the series, which the All Blacks lead 2-0.
